Notes for parents

Help protect your children in the online environment by talking to them about safety and helping to ensure they never share their personal information online. Parents and guardians can help their children by monitoring their online activity. Children 12 and under need their parent's or guardian's consent to register. As a parent or guardian you will need to register with your email address.

Users 13 or over provide their own email address but should ask their parent or legal guardian to read and agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy of this site.

Some sections of the site require you to be 13 or over such as earning free Gold points with partner offers and surveys. Please read the general privacy policy below to find out more.

What information we collect and how we use it:

WeeWorld collects the following information at registration, parent or guardian email address, child's first name, username and password, date of birth and country of residence.

WeeWorld also automatically receives and records in our server logs information from your browser, including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

This information helps us understand how you use the site and how to improve it for you.

We collect your parent email to tell you that your child has registered for an account.

We may collect personally identifiable information (PII) from parents who wish to purchase Gold points on WeeWorld. Some items in the store are only available for Gold points. The types of PII that may be collected at that time include the parent's full name, and credit card (or other payment method) billing information including mailing address. The financial information that you enter to purchase a membership is not stored with WeeWorld. It is held by our payments processing partners who act on our behalf for the purpose of processing payments to WeeWorld.

If WeeWorld wishes to collect further information from your child for a specific site activity or event we will not do so without parental consent. In this instance we will send you an email telling you exactly what information will be collected and how it will be used and we will ask for your parental permission.

All information collected by these cookies is sent to WeeWorld by secure connection. These third party providers are prohibited from using our data for any other purposes. All information will be retained as long as necessary.

If you order items from the WeeShop, we will collect your address and phone number; this information will be provided to third-party suppliers to complete your order. The third-party suppliers will also collect your credit card details, which will be encrypted to protect confidentiality and will not be stored by WeeWorld.

Personal information that you provide to WeeWorld is stored and processed in the United States. If you are providing this information from outside the United States, please note that U.S. law may not provide the same protections for your personal information that your home country may provide.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

As stated above, we collect information from you via registration, server logs, and cookies. You may also choose to post information to other areas of the site. Users cannot remove their WeeMee from the site once created, and WeeWorld retains user-posted content (such as messages or other information you post to the site) as long as it deems necessary.

We link user-posted information to the other information we collect and use this data to analyze trends, administer the site, track users' movements around the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base. We do this in order to improve our service and build a better site for you to use.

WeeWorld allows you to sign in by using Facebook. This privacy policy applies only to information collected on www.weeworld.com.
