SENIOR DIGITAL DESIGNER
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced graphic designer to work on a variety of exciting mobile and web products.
WeeWorld is a global brand with a suite of digital products and experiences aimed at kids and young teens. Skill requirements of the role include:
- You must be highly proficient writing HTML and CSS and have a proven track record creating fully responsive solutions.
- You must be an expert with Photoshop. A decent understanding of Flash and Illustrator would be a bonus.
- Multivariate and A/B testing are part of our design process, so designing with metrics in mind is a key skill.
Required Experience:
- You must be able to demonstrate first class user-experience and user-interface design.
- You must be brilliant and fast (we�d expect to see a couple of solutions day 1)
- You will have a passion for all things �design’, from typography, iconography, the latest emerging trends as well as knowledge of classic design trends, new technology, etc.
- There are always several projects going on at once, so you�ll need to be good at multi-tasking, with a strong ability to prioritise your work flow.
- Be able to distil individual requirements from multiple stakeholders.
- The ability to work well with others in both small and large teams, with transparent communication with your peers , stakeholders and customers.
- Above all you should have a ‘pixel perfect� approach to the end product with attention to detail being paramount.
- Ideally you�ll have some experience of designing products for kids, but that’s not essential.
Responsibilities:
- Take a product from conception right though to release from a graphic and UX perspective.
- Work with your peers and team leads to deliver cutting edge solutions based on the needs of stakeholders and internal customers.
- Help develop the visual identity and user experience of all products, not just those that are your primary responsibility.
- Knowing when to provide leadership and when to ask for and take direction is an important personal responsibility.

EXPERIENCED .NET DEVELOPER
About the role:
The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience of development with C# and the Dot Net framework, working with many features including traditional ASP.NET, MVC, Web API and WCF services. Knowledge of SQL Server, NoSQL products, JavaScript and JQuery would also be advantageous as would a familiarity with continuous integration processes and also Cloud based applications development in Azure or EC2.
An appreciation of working on scalable and high traffic websites would also be beneficial.
You will work principally from our Glasgow office. The position requires cross functional teamwork with stake holders based in both the UK and the US.Responsibilities of the role include:
- Day to day hands on development within an Agile and SCRUM based environment with an emphasis on code quality.
- Working closely with the development team, creative team and QA to deliver projects in a timely manner.
- Developing new web applications, API�s and features.
- Maintaining existing products and features.
Requirements:
- A strong passion for development.
- Experience of development using current Microsoft .net technologies.
- A strong appreciation of object-orientated programming concepts.
- Solid experience of building highly scalable web applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to adapt and grow in a diverse, fast-paced, agile development environment.
- Ability to work both as part of a team, take the initiative and contribute new ideas.
- Ability to work independently as required.
- Familiarity with continuous integration processes and SCRUM would be an advantage.
Qualifications:
A computer science degree or equivalent industry experience is essential.
